"NANCY PELOSI, the Democratic Speaker of the House, became emotional at her weekly press conference on Thursday when she warned that the present climate of incivility in US politics risked leading to violence.
Alluding to the fatal shootings of San Francisco mayor George Moscone and supervisor Harvey Milk on November 27th, 1978, Ms Pelosi appeared close to tears. “I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco,” she said, referring to anti-gay laws and demonstrations.
“It created an environment in which violence took place.”
Why is the political climate tending towards violence? It couldn't be that it is because are freedoms are being raped by the Federal Government, could it?! We rose up and fought off England when they were oppressive to our God-given freedoms. Why is now any different? As long as we have the right to vote, we have the ability to make changes. When that right is taken away, all bets are off. It will be "Forward! March!" to the White House. However, Pelosi only sees this "incivility" because Republicans don't like Obama, in her eyes. Notice, it is always personal with Liberals. It is never about the actual policy of the person, but it is about the person himself. Ultimately, they are not scared of the violence; they are scared of losing power. Losing power is more frightening than losing their country. That's why the policies Liberals push are intended to create dependency upon the Government. Conservatives push for policy that honors and promotes freedom. Don't expect this "incivility" to end any time soon. We're mad...really mad!
